Pupil Premium

The Government believes that the Pupil Premium is the best way to address the current underlying inequalities between children eligible for free school meals ("FSM") and their wealthier peers by ensuring that funding reaches the pupils who need it most.

It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium, allocated to schools per FSM pupil, is spent since they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils within their responsibility.

In the financial year (2015 - 2016) primary schools received £1,320 for each child eligible for Pupil Premium. The amount allocated for the Pupil Premium for this School in the current financial year is £11,880 and is identified in the School’s budget planning.

The rational for how this money is spent is expressed and communicated in regular reports by the Head Teacher to full Governing Body meetings. These reports inform Governors about how the School spends the money and the impact of that expenditure.

This year’s budget has been allocated to provide:

Learning Mentor Support

Membership of After School Clubs

Additional Teacher Support

Learning resources.
