From September 2014, a new primary curriculum became statutory. The existing programmes of learning and attainment targets will gradually be replaced. Below is a link to a detailed guide to the major changes to subject areas within the curriculum for Year 1 to 6 entitled "Parent Guide to National Curriculum".
In addition, Scholastic have created a pocket guide to help parents find out what is new in the curriculum and enable them to support their children with the changes which can be downloaded by following the link below.
Below are links to the statutory primary national curriculum, including programmes of study and attainment targets for all subjects at key stages 1 and 2, except languages which are only studied at key stage 2. These will be taught in all maintained primary schools in England from September 2014.
