The children enjoy Moving On Morning.
As part of the religious education curriculum, Kestrel Class had been researching the Sikh religion and were looking at the role of food as part of their tradition. The class were given a wonderful opportunity to visit the Sikh Gurdwara and were able to help prepare the Langar (celebratory vegetarian meal where food is served in the Gurdwara to all visitors) and they were also given a presentation on how to put on a turban. The children thoroughly enjoyed the visit.
KS2 finished their World War II topic with a V.E. day celebration.
A snow storm hit Ashurst Wood to start the Christmas holiday.

KS2 visited the Bluebell Railway for the children to experience what it was like to be evacuated during WWII.
