Charitable fund raising

The children of Ashurst Wood have decided that they would like to try to raise £500 to support the famine appeal in Africa.  The families in Africa will need ongoing support and so the children have decided on a series of events that they would like to run to raise the target amount.

April 2017

As you may be aware Flo's Fund fundraising page has sadly been closed but as result of your generous fundraising we were able to donate £174.05 to Children with Cancer UK in her memory.

March 2017

As part of Comic Relief 2017, the children came dressed in red and the School very quickly sold out of red noses! We were pleased to be able to send in a cheque for over £107.00.

December 2016

The whole school (pupils & staff alike) were happy to wear Christmas jumpers in order to support Save The Children's Christmas Jumper Day, raising £112.55 in the process.

November 2015

Ashurst Wood supported The Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal and were delighted to raise £83.63.

Autumn 2014

We supported the British Legion by recreating the Tower of London poppy display. The children made over 500 poppies and planted them on the 11th November at the front of the school before attending the Remembrance Service at the village war memorial.

The children raised £300.92 for the Royal British Legion.
